Resting reindeer

Well, well, well. Here at All Things Gifts, we cannot believe it. Just two days to go until the big 2-5 – the 25th December that is! We’re exhausted! That’s what comes of being the best place to get all of those Christmas gifts for her and Christmas presents for him.

We’ve been rushed off of our feet, and Mr Gifts has been little help this week. He put his back out placing the fairy on top of the All Things Gifts Christmas tree and has spent the past week getting sloshed on whisky in his favourite armchair whilst singing along with the carols on Radio 4.

If by any chance you’ve forgotten to buy somebody their Christmas present, then don’t worry. You can always give it to them a bit later on! Did you know that in Greece they don’t celebrate Christmas until January? So if you have any Greek friends, here are some great gift ideas for them!

This is cute: a NICI Polar Bear Photoclip/Photoholder. This industrious little polar bear will hold your favourite piccies. He is about three inches high, and is very cute and comes from the Nici polar bear 2008 collection. Snap him up before global warming gets him!

We also like this NICI 30cm Reindeer Lying Soft Toy. This reindeer is 30cm long and as you can see is having a nice lie down. If you’d delivered presents to boys and gifts to girls all around the world, you’d probably be having a nice lie down as well. I might get this for Mr Gifts, just to show him someone who knows what real hard work is!

Christmas gifts for colleagues

All Things Gifts made the mistake of going to London’s Oxford Street at the weekend. There were more people there than at Obama’s inauguration. It took us one hour to walk down to Tottenham Court Road (which normally takes ten minutes) and the crowds were at their most shovy and pushy. It was awful. We had to have a nap when we got home to recover and Mr Gifts gave us a foot massage.

The lesson is – if you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas and Christmas present ideas for him and her, don’t go to the shops! Stay in the comfort of your own home (and your own pyjamas) and do all of your gift shopping here with us. Christmas lights and present ideas

Here at All Things Gifts, we’re continuing our countdown to Christmas and taking you through some wonderful present ideas for girls, gift ideas for boys and indeed Christmas gift ideas in general.

This week, the Christmas lights were switched on in Birmingham. The crowds went crazy! Not because they were so excited by the neon delights, but because the young puppies switching on said lights were urban popsters JLS. All Things Gifts quite understands the appeal, as we’re a sucker for a handsome young man or four. In fact, All Things Gifts would quite like JLS as a Christmas present.

Luckily you don’t have to get squished to enjoy the lights this Christmas. We have a few Christmas present ideas that will bring the light to your home. Popstars not included but they are charming nonetheless. Whizz, bang and perfect birthday presents

Remember, remember the fifth of November – especially if it’s your birthday or anniversary! Of course, you don’t have to have a happy occasion of your own to celebrate on 5th November (or the forthcoming weekend) as it’s Bonfire Night.

Many years ago, even before TV and microwaves, a naughty firestarter called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament. Maybe he’d heard about a ye olde expenses scandal? He failed but we still get to celebrate the occasion with fireworks, sparklers and lovely lights in the sky.

Here at All Things Gifts we love Bonfire Night. Looking at the fireworks makes us think of a big birthday cake in the sky with all those candles. We’d like some equally massive birthday presents and toys to make us happy too!

Happily we have a couple of fun birthday and Christmas present suggestions that aren’t as explosive as Guy Fawkes, thankfully, but are along the same theme. The Sound Bomb Style Speaker will make your music as loud as you want whilst looking super stylish. It would make a great Christmas gift for any music lover.

If things get out of control, call in the cavalry – otherwise known as this Hinz and Kunst Fireman With Hose nut and bolt men figure. Who doesn’t want to be rescued by a cute fireman? A man in uniform is quite the present. These make brilliant birthday gifts for boys or even a treat for whichever brave soul is lighting your fireworks this year.

Gifts for Him and Gifts for Her – A Multitude of Choices!

The internet is a wonderful thing! Who would have thought 15 years ago that we would buying so many gifts for him and gifts for her by the click of a mouse?! But now it’s pretty much become second nature for millions of people to at least search for their gifts online, even if they don’t end up buying them there.

As the internet has evolved, so has gift buying. It’s true to say that the traditional gifts for her, such as flowers, plants, teddy bears and chocolates are still popular, but gift buying has reached new levels. Pamper experiences such as a day in a spa, massage treatments, beauty treatments, makeovers and days out are just some of the much more interesting gifts for her available these days, and thanks to the internet these gifts have become so much easier to buy too.

The same applies to gifts for him. Long gone are the days of hankies and socks for your dad on father’s day! Men can also be spoilt with activity experiences, days out and more gadgets than they know what to do with!

The trouble with these gifts for her and gifts for him is that they come at a price. Activity days and gift experiences are out of the price range for many people when buying a gift for a friend or relative, so unless you’re clubbing together with several friends or members of your family these types of gifts are probably a no-go.

So, back to the more traditional gifts for her and gifts for him!

Even though they may be more traditional, lower price-range gifts have evolved too, so you don’t need to think that your only choices are boring ones! Instead of plain teddy bears, we have ‘Me to You Bears ’, and whether you’re a ‘bear’ person or not one of these Tatty Bears is bound to go down well, especially on Valentine’s Day as a gift for her!

And what about gifts for him on Valentine’s Day? The new craze in Nut and Bolt Men provides a fun but decorative gift for him and they come in so many versions that you’re bound to be able to find one perfect for the man in your life.

The main point with shopping for gifts for him and gifts for her on the internet is that there’s just so much more choice now. This means that whatever your budget you’re pretty much guaranteed that you’ll be able to find something suitable. Even gifts for people who are notoriously difficult to buy for; a little searching on the internet and you should come up trumps!
