Tree-mendous Christmas gifts for him and her

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Here at All Things Gifts, we are practically exploding with excitement. We can actually count on four hands the number of days left until Christmas Day. Yippee! There is officially no time to mess around any more. Have you bought those Christmas presents for her and those Christmas gifts for him yet?

We are feeling particularly festive because we decorated our tree this weekend. Well, I say “we” – Mr Gifts put his back out trying to hang chocolate coins on our tree’s top branches. It was left to muggins here to climb the stepladder and sort out the fairy on top of the Christmas tree while Mr Gifts sat in the armchair moaning and uttering the odd swear word.

This week, we’re going to show you some lovely Christmas tree themed presents that you’ll love using. In fact, they’re so cute that they would make excellent gifts and presents for yourself as well as your loved ones.

Me To You Bears Tatty Teddy Set of Four Christmas Tree Decorations is an adorable addition to any Christmas tree. Look at those little bears dressed up as Santa Claus! This is a super present for Me To You Bears collectors as well as general fans of Christmas trees.

How’s this for modern technology? This fabulous USB Desktop Flashing Colour Changing Christmas Tree allows office workers to add a festive touch to their desk at Christmas. Plug this little tree into the computer and its colour will rotate from red to blue to green.

Christmas gifts for colleagues

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

All Things Gifts made the mistake of going to London’s Oxford Street at the weekend. There were more people there than at Obama’s inauguration. It took us one hour to walk down to Tottenham Court Road (which normally takes ten minutes) and the crowds were at their most shovy and pushy. It was awful. We had to have a nap when we got home to recover and Mr Gifts gave us a foot massage.

The lesson is – if you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas and Christmas present ideas for him and her, don’t go to the shops! Stay in the comfort of your own home (and your own pyjamas) and do all of your gift shopping here with us. At All Things Gifts we have present ideas for girls, gift ideas for boys and lots of little treats for yourself as well.

This week we are thinking about Christmas presents for your workmates – you know, like gifts for her that sits next to you and gifts for him that talks very loudly whenever you are on the phone to an important client. If you’re doing a Secret Santa at your work party, or even if you are being nice and festive and generous because it is Christmas, check out these ideas.

Desktop Hetty Hoover Vacuum Cleaner is a cute friend to help clean and tidy one’s desk. Now, All Things Gift’s grandma is called Hetty, and she loves cleaning, so this is most authentic. Also, it is scientifically proven by scientists that the work desk has more germs than a toilet seat, so this is a must-have!

Doctor Who 5 Inch Dalek Thay Action Figure Series 3 is a collectors’ item and desk toy for the sci-fi fan in your life. You could even buy it for someone you don’t like – after all, daleks have a clear message. Exterminate!

Cheers for the Christmas gifts, Santa!

How many days is it until Christmas now? We don’t know! At All Things Gifts, we’re too excited about Christmas present ideas and Christmas gift ideas to spend time counting down to the big day! We know you’ve come here to find out about our great Christmas present ideas too, so let’s get our heads and credit cards together and start shopping for the special people in our lives.

It’s so exciting to treat the ones we love! This week is all about gift ideas for boys – that’s little boys and big boys alike. Whether it’s your son, best friend, boyfriend or hubby, All Things Gifts has some super Christmas gift ideas to suit.

Who have you nominated to dress up at Santa Claus this year – dad, grandpa or even someone you’ve bribed in return for mince pies and a cuddle? Whoever it is, they’ll love this thank you present: a gorgeous Nici Plush Soft Santa Claus. It’s also a perfect gift for the Nici soft toy collector or just a great gift idea for anyone who loves soft toys. Nici Santa is so soft – almost as soft as Rudolph’s fur!

We also love this fun Beer Fund Money Box for the big boys in your life. It’s not just practical but it’s funny as well. Each time the recipient (read: big drinker) puts his change in the money box, it rewards him by saying one of five random phrases. The phrases are: cheers, you will be drunk as a skunk, bottoms up, burp and you need more beer tokens. Most accurate!

Christmas lights and present ideas

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Here at All Things Gifts, we’re continuing our countdown to Christmas and taking you through some wonderful present ideas for girls, gift ideas for boys and indeed Christmas gift ideas in general.

This week, the Christmas lights were switched on in Birmingham. The crowds went crazy! Not because they were so excited by the neon delights, but because the young puppies switching on said lights were urban popsters JLS. All Things Gifts quite understands the appeal, as we’re a sucker for a handsome young man or four. In fact, All Things Gifts would quite like JLS as a Christmas present.

Luckily you don’t have to get squished to enjoy the lights this Christmas. We have a few Christmas present ideas that will bring the light to your home. Popstars not included but they are charming nonetheless. Like this adorable Dalton Pottery Hand Decorated Castware Christmas Pudding Candle Holder, which looks suitably sweet and fruity (don’t eat it though!). This would make a great table centrepiece at any Christmassy party and would make a super little stocking filler or Christmas gift idea in general.

This is a cute present idea for boys: a Light Up / Colour Changing Reindeer Mug. What better way to accompany a warm winter drinkie than with a cheery bright red nose? Rudolph would be very impressed indeed. And here’s an almost matching present idea for girls: a Light Up/Colour Changing Snowman Mug/Cup. Warm the cockles of this snowman’s heart and watch his nose glow! Unlike a real snowman, he won’t melt when you pour hot water all over him. Phew!

Christmas present ideas

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

The weather is freezing, the nights are long and dark, mince pies seem to be taking over our local supermarket and London’s famous Regent Street Christmas lights have been switched on. Yay, it’s officially nearly Christmas! And, most importantly, it’s definitely time to start doing your Christmas present shopping.

Why get shoved and pushed around in the crowds at the shops when you can stay at home and find loads of Christmas gift ideas here on All Things Gifts? Put your feet up, make yourself a hot chocolate and browse our gift ideas for boys and girls of all ages. In fact, start off by treating yourself to a little Christmas something – this gorgeous NICI Jill The Winter Husky mug to hold said hot chocolate! Its cute husky picture will certainly make you feel Christmassy.

We’ll be taking you through some wonderful Christmas present ideas in the next few weeks, whether that’s present ideas for girls or gift ideas for boys. We’ve got stocking fillers aplenty as well as larger gifts for your lucky loved ones. Something that you need to buy first of all is this Me To You Bear ‘Tatty Teddy 3D Tree Advent Calendar’ which is a must for the countdown to Christmas.

Because it’s not filled, you can fill the contents with your own gifts, which gives a really special and personalised touch. Every day, select the correct box, pull it out, remove the contents and then turn the box around. By the time you get to Christmas, a mystery picture is revealed. How exciting!

Whizz, bang and perfect birthday presents

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Remember, remember the fifth of November – especially if it’s your birthday or anniversary! Of course, you don’t have to have a happy occasion of your own to celebrate on 5th November (or the forthcoming weekend) as it’s Bonfire Night.

Many years ago, even before TV and microwaves, a naughty firestarter called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament. Maybe he’d heard about a ye olde expenses scandal? He failed but we still get to celebrate the occasion with fireworks, sparklers and lovely lights in the sky.

Here at All Things Gifts we love Bonfire Night. Looking at the fireworks makes us think of a big birthday cake in the sky with all those candles. We’d like some equally massive birthday presents and toys to make us happy too!

Happily we have a couple of fun birthday and Christmas present suggestions that aren’t as explosive as Guy Fawkes, thankfully, but are along the same theme. The Sound Bomb Style Speaker will make your music as loud as you want whilst looking super stylish. It would make a great Christmas gift for any music lover.

If things get out of control, call in the cavalry – otherwise known as this Hinz and Kunst Fireman With Hose nut and bolt men figure. Who doesn’t want to be rescued by a cute fireman? A man in uniform is quite the present. These make brilliant birthday gifts for boys or even a treat for whichever brave soul is lighting your fireworks this year.

Trick or treat toys

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Woooo! There are some spooky goings-on afoot this week, and we don’t mean John and Edward’s continued success in the X Factor (a mystery for us, a Christmas and birthday present wrapped into one for them). Nope, it’s Halloween! The scariest occasion on the calendar, it’s the horrible holiday that will send shivers down your spine. People across the world will be dressed as Dracula, witches or Simon Cowell whilst little children will be trick or treating for presents, toys and gifts. Dare you celebrate, or will you hide behind the sofa like a toddler trying to watch Dr Who?

Here at All Things Gifts, we can’t wait to celebrate Halloween. We’ve got lots of fun toys and gifts to help the night go with a bang… and a scream! Now, if you thought that the Me to You Bears were too sweet and innocent to get involved in all of this spooky stuff, you are mistaken. Our Me To You Bears Trick or Treat Tatty Teddy Figurine is dressed in a black outfit complete with glow in the dark skeleton bones! He’s just like an emo-loving teenager (and would make a great gift for one). What a top Halloween toy!

Our rubber duckies are joining in for the occasion as well. Check out this Luxury Spooky Bath BUD Rubber Duck – his black colour is decorated with Halloweeny symbols. He’s guaranteed to send you quackers on the most frightening night of the year. Dare you take a bath with this toy?

The gift of time presents itself

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

There’s no time like the present and there’s no present like the time. That’s what Groucho Marx said, anyway. Do you think anybody got him a clock for his birthday? Mind you, with his charming habit of making quips at every opportunity, do you think he actually had any friends to buy him a birthday present?

Groucho would have loved this weekend – it’s when the clocks go back. There you go, Groucho. There is a present like the time, because we’re all going to get an extra hour in bed. Yippee!

At All Things Gifts we’ve got some cute gifts on offer along the theme of time – just the thing whether you want to celebrate the coming of a new season or bring someone a little happiness on their birthday or special occasion.

Our favourite is this Chococlock Chocolate Clock Timer Gadget. It’s the perfect and adorably daft present for the chocolate addict in your life. Every hour Chococlock delivers a chocolate treat to the tune “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. You get 30 seconds to grab it before the toy clock snatches it back! This holds 25-30 pieces of chocolate, which sounds like an average breakfast for All Things Gifts (we like to treat ourselves).

The Me To You Bears Nursery Collection Bone China Wall Clock is sweet for other reasons. Great for a new baby gift or Me To You Bears collector, this clock is just so gorgeous and presents a cute way to tell the time.

Gift ideas for the big 5-0

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

What do you give the man who’s got everything for his 50th birthday? If the man is Simon Cowell, the music guru and X Factor überjudge, then the answer’s a bit surprising – teeth whitener.

That’s what fellow X Factor judge the gorgeous Cheryl Cole has got planned for Le Cowell anyway. Super Simon turns 50 on 7 October 2009 and Cheryl – who knows a thing or two about bright white teeth herself – joked to Hello! Magazine that she’s going to buy her boss some teeth bleach whitener for his birthday!

Cheryl will have to get in the queue to give Si his pressie. Here at All Things Gifts, we’re bursting to give him a birthday hug. And there’s lots of things on the site to give a handsome 50 year old too.

If your fittie is turning 50, treat him to this Me to You Bear Tatty Teddy. This soft toy and collectors’ item is a real cutie with a sense of occasion. In fact, he’s been made especially to celebrate the big 5-0.

For fussy fifties, a gift voucher makes a superb gift. And what better amount to give than £50? Our handy £50 gift voucher will let any birthday boy or girl celebrate the start of their fifth decade in style.

Ooh – and don’t forget one of our lovely birthday cards and a great big birthday cuddle.

Baby fever at All Things Gifts!

Friday, September 25th, 2009

It’s congratulations all round this week as the pitter-patter of tiny feet – twinned with delights of endless crying and sleepless nights – hits Hollywood. Sarah Michelle Gellar, best known for her role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has given birth to a baby girl. Her husband is gorgeous actor Freddie Prinze Jr, so their daughter, Charlotte Grace Prinze, should be a real cutie.

Jude Law’s “special friend” Samantha Burke also gave birth to his baby this week – another girl, this time called Sophia. Congratulations to all of these famous new parents. Phew! The stork must be exhausted.

Here at All Things Gifts we’ve also been celebrating the births of three babies in our friendship circle this month. Was there something in the water nine months ago?

The most exciting thing about having a friend or family member give birth is the opportunity to buy their new baby a lovely present. And we’ve got loads of perfect pressies that baby is sure to love – in fact, mummy and daddy will love them too!

My Blue Nose Friends are super sweet soft toys that double up as collectors’ items – making them something baby can keep forever. We love Konker the Hedgehog, who is so cute that even his spikes are strokable! For another present that will last and last, choose this keepsake book, where baby’s proud parents can record her important first few months. And for babies who wish to beat the credit crunch, this lovely and practical money box will help the family to save in style.
