Baby fever at All Things Gifts!

Friday, September 25th, 2009

It’s congratulations all round this week as the pitter-patter of tiny feet – twinned with delights of endless crying and sleepless nights – hits Hollywood. Sarah Michelle Gellar, best known for her role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has given birth to a baby girl. Her husband is gorgeous actor Freddie Prinze Jr, so their daughter, Charlotte Grace Prinze, should be a real cutie.

Jude Law’s “special friend” Samantha Burke also gave birth to his baby this week – another girl, this time called Sophia. Congratulations to all of these famous new parents. Phew! The stork must be exhausted.

Here at All Things Gifts we’ve also been celebrating the births of three babies in our friendship circle this month. Was there something in the water nine months ago?

The most exciting thing about having a friend or family member give birth is the opportunity to buy their new baby a lovely present. And we’ve got loads of perfect pressies that baby is sure to love – in fact, mummy and daddy will love them too!

My Blue Nose Friends are super sweet soft toys that double up as collectors’ items – making them something baby can keep forever. We love Konker the Hedgehog, who is so cute that even his spikes are strokable! For another present that will last and last, choose this keepsake book, where baby’s proud parents can record her important first few months. And for babies who wish to beat the credit crunch, this lovely and practical money box will help the family to save in style.

Musical gifts

Friday, September 18th, 2009

If music be the food of love, then it should make a tasty present. We’re not just talking about the usual gift of a CD or even a record token (as we used to call them in the old days before gangsta rap and X Factor). We’re talking instruments, games and even metal men figures!

Musical presents are in the news this week thanks to the parents of teenybop sensations The Jonas Brothers. Lucky singer Nick Jonas, who just turned 17, received a very special piano from Mum and Dad Jonas to celebrate his birthday – the one that he used to create the group’s first song. Apparently, the piano had to be tracked down, which begs the question – how on earth to you lose a piano in the first place?

You don’t have to spend thousands of pounds on a shiny instrument for your budding musician. For those with a Wii, the new and fifth edition of Guitar Hero has just been released, with songs from the Arctic Monkeys and a new “party play” (translation: shuffle system for the attention deficit-ridden) mode to help gamers unleash their inner Slash.

In fact, you don’t even need to buy something that makes noise in order give a present that celebrates a love of music. Take a look at some of the enchanting Hinz and Kunst nut and bolt men in our Music section at All Things Gifts. From bass players to conductors, every kind of musician and musical taste has been thought of!

New NICI ranges

Friday, August 21st, 2009

We’re excited to announce the all new NICI ranges. The NICI Classic Bears and other furry friends very soon be joined by Big El the Lion, T.G. The TigerRob the Raccoon, Gwen the Giraffe, and Milo the Gorilla.

NICI soft toys are some of the best-selling items at All Things Gifts. The twenty-year-old NICI brand started as a small home-based company in Germany, but the demand for their delightful soft toys has made NICI a leader in the toy industry.

The NICI range has expanded beyond soft toys to encompass merchandise such as keyrings, purses, mugs, cushions and money boxes. As part of the new product lines for Summer 2009, a range of fancy mugs has gone on sale.

Children and adults alike love the NICI range. There are enough different kinds of stuffed animals to recreate Noah’s ark, and the range of keyrings and other accessories just keeps growing.

NICI soft toys make great gifts for children big and small. Whether you’re looking for a birthday gift for a girl or a soft toy to congratulate a child for an achievement you’ll find something wonderful in the NICI ranges.

Me to You Bears – three new product lines

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

We’re very excited to announce three fantastic additions to our Me to You range. Made by the well-known company Carte Blanche Greetings, Me to You Bears originated from a story about a brown bear which was left behind and when it snowed got so cold its nose turned blue and fur turned grey but was eventually found by a little girl who loved and looked after the teddy bear. Some of the earliest tatty teddy soft toy releases actually enclosed a copy of this story, but as you’ll see the range has expanded considerably in modern times.

For August, we have three new product lines in the Me to You range.

1)    Figurines
Making great gifts for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers day and all other occasions, Me to You figurines are available in the form of snowglobes, dressed up characters – and even bears relaxing on sunloungers. Very appropriate for summer!

2)    Summer travel
Speaking of summer, check out the Me to You summer travel range. New for 2009, this range offers a huge collection of summer holiday items, from passport cover to keyrings to travel diaries.

3)    Back to School
The kids might not want to think about this until later in the month but as every parent knows, it’s best to stock up early. That’s particularly true of these gorgeous stationery sets and school supplies – all adorned with images of the friendly Me to You Bears.

Take a look at the updated Me to You Bears category at All Things Gifts. We think you’ll be delighted with what’s on offer.
