Resting reindeer

Well, well, well. Here at All Things Gifts, we cannot believe it. Just two days to go until the big 2-5 – the 25th December that is! We’re exhausted! That’s what comes of being the best place to get all of those Christmas gifts for her and Christmas presents for him.

We’ve been rushed off of our feet, and Mr Gifts has been little help this week. He put his back out placing the fairy on top of the All Things Gifts Christmas tree and has spent the past week getting sloshed on whisky in his favourite armchair whilst singing along with the carols on Radio 4.

If by any chance you’ve forgotten to buy somebody their Christmas present, then don’t worry. You can always give it to them a bit later on! Did you know that in Greece they don’t celebrate Christmas until January? So if you have any Greek friends, here are some great gift ideas for them!

This is cute: a NICI Polar Bear Photoclip/Photoholder. This industrious little polar bear will hold your favourite piccies. He is about three inches high, and is very cute and comes from the Nici polar bear 2008 collection. Snap him up before global warming gets him!

We also like this NICI 30cm Reindeer Lying Soft Toy. This reindeer is 30cm long and as you can see is having a nice lie down. If you’d delivered presents to boys and gifts to girls all around the world, you’d probably be having a nice lie down as well. I might get this for Mr Gifts, just to show him someone who knows what real hard work is!

Christmas gifts for colleagues

All Things Gifts made the mistake of going to London’s Oxford Street at the weekend. There were more people there than at Obama’s inauguration. It took us one hour to walk down to Tottenham Court Road (which normally takes ten minutes) and the crowds were at their most shovy and pushy. It was awful. We had to have a nap when we got home to recover and Mr Gifts gave us a foot massage.

The lesson is – if you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas and Christmas present ideas for him and her, don’t go to the shops! Stay in the comfort of your own home (and your own pyjamas) and do all of your gift shopping here with us. Doctor Who 5 Inch Dalek Thay Action Figure Series 3 is a collectors’ item and desk toy for the sci-fi fan in your life. You could even buy it for someone you don’t like – after all, daleks have a clear message. Exterminate!

Christmas lights and present ideas

Here at All Things Gifts, we’re continuing our countdown to Christmas and taking you through some wonderful present ideas for girls, gift ideas for boys and indeed Christmas gift ideas in general.

This week, the Christmas lights were switched on in Birmingham. The crowds went crazy! Not because they were so excited by the neon delights, but because the young puppies switching on said lights were urban popsters JLS. All Things Gifts quite understands the appeal, as we’re a sucker for a handsome young man or four. In fact, All Things Gifts would quite like JLS as a Christmas present.

Luckily you don’t have to get squished to enjoy the lights this Christmas. We have a few Christmas present ideas that will bring the light to your home. Popstars not included but they are charming nonetheless. Whizz, bang and perfect birthday presents

Remember, remember the fifth of November – especially if it’s your birthday or anniversary! Of course, you don’t have to have a happy occasion of your own to celebrate on 5th November (or the forthcoming weekend) as it’s Bonfire Night.

Many years ago, even before TV and microwaves, a naughty firestarter called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament. Maybe he’d heard about a ye olde expenses scandal? He failed but we still get to celebrate the occasion with fireworks, sparklers and lovely lights in the sky.

Here at All Things Gifts we love Bonfire Night. Looking at the fireworks makes us think of a big birthday cake in the sky with all those candles. We’d like some equally massive birthday presents and toys to make us happy too!

Happily we have a couple of fun birthday and Christmas present suggestions that aren’t as explosive as Guy Fawkes, thankfully, but are along the same theme. A man in uniform is quite the present. These make brilliant birthday gifts for boys or even a treat for whichever brave soul is lighting your fireworks this year.
