Saturday, October 15th, 2011

If you’re looking for original gifts for teenagers, Hinz and Kunst are the obvious choice. We at All Things Gifts have an extensive range of Hinz and Kunst Nut & Bolt Men (and women!). Quirky and original, they make great gifts for teens, adults and kids.

New to our website are a range of Hinz and Kunst figures which include new Equestrian-themed sculptures. Excellent Xmas gift ideas for teenagers who are horse-mad, they make great Pony Club trophies, too.

Our Hinz and Kunst collection has some excellent gift ideas for boys – check out the new ‘Boxing’ or ‘Darts Player’ Nut & Bolt Man – while our new Lady Gardener figure makes a great retirement or leaving gift. We can order in any figures which say Sold Out, although you should allow at least two weeks for them to arrive as they come from Germany. So if what you want isn’t available, just email us to add it to our next order.

Dancing around our favourite gifts

Monday, October 19th, 2009

We love a good dance here at All Things Gifts. The cha cha cha, the rumba, the tango – even the ooh la la and the zut alors! If music is a gift, then dancing is a present, and one we’ll unwrap with gusto.

In last week’s blog we talked about X Factor – it’s marvellous, isn’t it, even with those talentless twins messing up the stage. So this week we turn our toe-tapping attention to Strictly Come Dancing. Isn’t Brucie amazing for his age? What would you get him for his birthday though? He’s had so many that surely it would be difficult to get him a real surprise gift. Hmmm – maybe a new joke book?

Is the tiny dancer in your life about to celebrate their birthday? Perhaps your favourite ballerina or jazz hands hunk deserves a special present. At All Things Gifts, we’re here to oblige with some suitably show-stopping gifts.
First up is this Hinz and Kunst ‘Dancers’ nut and bolt men figure. Made from steel and copper, these gorgeous dancing figures are mounted on a base with a Hinz and Kunst Plaque. Aren’t they groovy?

Next is a really fun gift for dancers and music lovers alike: Moovin & Groovin Flowers - Dancing Decorative Speakers. Just plug in your iPod, MP3 player, CD player or computer and watch them move and groove to the beat of your music with these Movin’ and Groovin’ Flowers. They’re perfect for adding floral-themed fun and colour to your bedroom, kitchen or office – even your dance studio.

Gifts to make you feel special

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Here at All Things Gifts we’re still mopping up our tears from a huge emotional rollercoaster of a weekend. No, we didn’t go to a family wedding – we watched the most heartrending episodes of X Factor yet, as the contestants went abroad with the judges for selection (or not) to the live shows.

The good bit was getting to see the judges’ luxury houses. All Things Gifts might actually audition next year so that we can snuggle up to Simon Cowell on his Hollywood sofa. Until then, we can all get a touch of some of that glitzy action thanks to the superstaresque items we’ve got for you this week.

First up are these Pool Hot Tub Spa Lights. They change colour as they float in your hot tub or pool or you can stick them to the side with their suction pads. How ritzy is that? You’ll need some music in the water as well, so check out this adorable Love Duck AM/FM Bath Radio. You might even hear an X Factor winner warbling away on it as you splash around.

Now, you’re sure to be enjoying a cocktail or three during this scenario, so you’ll need somewhere safe to put those cocktail sticks. Treat yourself to this Hinz and Kunst Barman Cocktail Stick Holder nut and bolt men figure which does the job in style.

Musical gifts

Friday, September 18th, 2009

If music be the food of love, then it should make a tasty present. We’re not just talking about the usual gift of a CD or even a record token (as we used to call them in the old days before gangsta rap and X Factor). We’re talking instruments, games and even metal men figures!

Musical presents are in the news this week thanks to the parents of teenybop sensations The Jonas Brothers. Lucky singer Nick Jonas, who just turned 17, received a very special piano from Mum and Dad Jonas to celebrate his birthday – the one that he used to create the group’s first song. Apparently, the piano had to be tracked down, which begs the question – how on earth to you lose a piano in the first place?

You don’t have to spend thousands of pounds on a shiny instrument for your budding musician. For those with a Wii, the new and fifth edition of Guitar Hero has just been released, with songs from the Arctic Monkeys and a new “party play” (translation: shuffle system for the attention deficit-ridden) mode to help gamers unleash their inner Slash.

In fact, you don’t even need to buy something that makes noise in order give a present that celebrates a love of music. Take a look at some of the enchanting Hinz and Kunst nut and bolt men in our Music section at All Things Gifts. From bass players to conductors, every kind of musician and musical taste has been thought of!

Buying gifts for the person who has everything

Friday, September 4th, 2009

We all have a friend or relative who’s impossible to buy for – because they seem to have everything. It could be the Dad who’s got every gadget and gizmo under the sun; the niece or nephew whose bedroom is bursting with toys; or the spouse who is extraordinarily picky about their possessions. Recession or no recession, some people don’t seem to need any extra possessions at all – which puts the rest of us in a difficult spot when it’s time to buy them a birthday gift or Christmas present.

There are two main options when it comes to this sort of gift-buying dilemma: the first is to buy something consumable, so that the recipient does not have to keep the item for all eternity; the second is to buy something that’s quite different to what they’re expecting.
Ideas for consumable gifts? There are some tried-and-tested favourites, such as chocolates, fudge, flowers, perfume and bath salts. For something a little different, you could head down to your nearest farmer’s market to buy some fresh, high quality produce – you could then put all the items into a personalised gift hamper.

For longer-term gifts that are a little bit different, we would humbly recommend you take a look at some of the Hinz and Kunst metal figures on the All Things Gifts main website. These charming metal sculptures come in enough shapes and sizes to guarantee a suitable gift for every individual recipient. Hand-crafted by nnovative German metal sculptor Günter Scholz, the Hinz and Kunst metal figures are made from steel and copper that is bent, cut, welded, brushed and lacquered. They make charming gifts and very definite talking points!
